We set about further improving the exterior of the property with a comprehensive and sympathetic restoration of the wonderful slate pitched roof, which has great historic value. New aluminium guttering was also installed throughout.

Skev’s property has a prominent position overlooking Oxford so the addition of a well-appointed, durable yet aesthetically pleasing balcony and composite decking from the master bedroom made the most of the uninterrupted, breath-taking views. The construction of the external hardwood staircase from the upper floor balcony to the ground floor wraparound patio creates the perfect link to two stunning retreats to enjoy a morning coffee or a relaxing nightcap.

Edwardian houses were known for their lighter colour palettes and emphasis on natural light, so the interior and exterior were painted sympathetically to retain the building’s history.
